Akriti Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. is the brainchild of Mr. Lal Vijay Shahdeo, who started Akriti as a theatre group way back in 1992. Akriti has produced around 50 plays including street plays.

Today Akriti Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. is producing content for Television and is also in the process of venturing into Films.

Mr. Lal Vijay Shahdeo has an amazing presence in the industry and he has worked as a Director, Creative Director, Casting Director, Senior Executive Producer, Supervising Producer, Head of Operations and Project Head, with many companies like UTV, Percept Picture Company, B.R. Films, Creative Eye, Miditech, Big Synergy, Fire Works to name a few.

With these production houses Mr. Lal Vijay Shahdeo had the opportunity to work with the top GEC’s Channels in India like Star Plus, Star One, Sony, Zee TV, Hungama, etc. He had the opportunity to contribute to the success of many popular and successful serials like Kehta Hai Dil, Shararat, Bhabhi, Saka Laka Boom Boom, Shagoon, Shanno Ki Shadi, Mayke Se Bandhi Dor, Laakhon Me Ek, Humaari Devrani, Special Squad, Family Business, Pari Hoon Main, Man Me Hai Vishwaas, Maa Exchange, Mamta, Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan, Ninja Pandav for various channels.

Even after having so much work experience and a settled space in the industry, He did not stop, as he wanted to express himself through TV and Film as he had done in his theatre days.  He wanted to make serials and films based on burning social issues. His experience and this zeal of giving a positive message through his work is the driving force behind the company and the team at Akriti Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. is creating original and unique content for Television and Films.

Akriti Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. started its journey in 2013 with two general entertainment shows produced for Doordarshan. “Ye Shadi Hai Ya Sauda” was based on female infanticide and the trafficking of girls…and “Ghanteshwar Prasad Ghantewaale” an emotional comedy… Both the shows were path breaking trend setters. The shows were front runners in terms of TRP’s, setting new standards in the style of programming on Doordarshan comparable to that of private Cable and Satellite channels.

The company then produced another show “Beta Bhagya Se Bitiya Saubhagya Se” in 2016 also for Doordarshan. It aimed at creating awareness regarding gender inequality.

Going forward Akriti has produced another inspirational TV Serial “Salam India” for DD Kisan.

At Akriti, we always aim at bringing social change through our creative work. At the same time we also aim at entertaining our viewers.

Akriti also had the honour of representing the India at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2016 with our short film “The Silent Statue” which was well received and appreciated there and also premiered at the Alliance Franchise in Mumbai the same year. Through this film also, we targeted the evil of blind faith and superstition prevalent in the society.

Simultaneously the company has produced two Hindi Feature Films  “LOHARDAGA” directed by Lal Vijay Shahdeo and starring Sarvadaman, Sanjay Mishra, Vijay Raaz, Akhilendra Mishra, Ravi Jhankal, Dadhi Pandey, Neetu Pandey, Charul Malik, Hansraj Jagtap, Chanda Kumari, Priya Ambust, along with more than 100 actors from Jharkhand and “PHULMANIA” directed by Lal Vijay Shahdeo and starring Komal Singh, Hansraj Jagtap, Ravi Bhatia, Khushboo Sharma, Vineet Kumar, Neetu Pandey, Ankit Rathi, Reena Sahay, Shishir Pandit and many actors from Jharkhand.

Akriti Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. boasts of a brilliant team comprising young Writers, Creatives, Researcher and technicians who drive forward the company with their brilliant ideas, concepts and scripts.
